The risks inherent to our operation – mechanical, noise, dust and heat – demand robust and proactive management. We act incisively in the control of physical, chemical, ergonomic, biological and psychosocial agents present in our industrial park. The precise quantification of measurable risks and the careful qualification of others, based on specific methodologies and the expertise of our Specialized Service in Safety Engineering and Occupational Medicine (SESMT), are essential steps. Additionally, we value the vision of professional experts for a comprehensive assessment.
We understand that accidents signal procedural instabilities. Therefore, the engagement of operational leaders is central to our strategy. In 2016, we implemented a program to increase knowledge about safety in the manufacturing environment, promoting our leaders as protagonists in building a solid safety culture. At the same time, we invested in deepening the knowledge of the production process among the entire SESMT team, aligning safety and production expertise.
We continuously monitor crucial indicators such as the number of accidents and absences, the Social Security Accident Factor (FAP), the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), investments in Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) and frequency and severity rates. We believe that the credibility of security actions and discussions is strengthened with consistent data management.
Our approach focuses on risk management, with rigorous daily inspections that aim to prevent incidents and deviations from procedures. We believe that security is built in the details.
