After a rigorous audit carried out by the Federation of Industries of the State of Ceará (FIEC), We proudly received the recertification of the OS-FIEC seal. This seal, which validates companies' environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices, is an important achievement for Cerbras, which becomes the first industry in the ceramic sector in Brazil to be recertified in the AAA category, the highest classification.
The official delivery of the seal took place on April 28, 2025, at the headquarters of our factory in Maracanaú, with the presence of Alcileia Farias, manager of the ESG core at FIEC, and our president, Ana Lúcia Mota, as well as the administrative and environmental vice-president, Ticiana Mota.00
For Ticiana Mota, this recognition is the result of Cerbras' continuous commitment to sustainability and excellence: “The sustainable practices we adopt not only guarantee the quality of our products, but also contribute to the preservation of the environment”. Among the highlights initiatives, she mentions the use of 100% of the solar energy produced by the factory, which covers 10% to 12% of total energy consumption. Furthermore, Cerbras achieved Zero Waste certification for its solid waste management and planted more than 5 thousand native tree seedlings in degraded areas of Frecheirinha.
Cerbras is also dedicated to constantly monitoring air quality, in addition to having an efficient water and effluent treatment and reuse system. One of the biggest highlights is the reuse of hot air generated in the ovens during production processes, and the company is a pioneer in the use of biogas, a renewable energy source.
In addition to environmental actions, we have a solid commitment to social responsibility. An example of this is our partnership with the Peter Pan Association, to which we donated 2,100 m² of products to renovate the homes of patients undergoing cancer treatment. We are also supporting the construction of the Beija-Flor Hospital, which will serve people with cleft lip and palate in socially vulnerable situations, in addition to supporting several institutions through tax incentive laws.
“Our corporate governance system has evolved over the years, always with a commitment to adopting the best practices and ensuring total transparency, extending these values to our entire relationship chain”, says Ticiana Mota. To ensure compliance with these guidelines, we established an Integrated Management System (SGI), with policies and procedures that guide all our actions and relationships.
She adds: "The strategic decisions of the Board of Directors ensure that Cerbras' values are practiced by all employees. Every day, we apply sustainable and compliance practices in economic, social and environmental aspects, always thinking about the future."
